KUALA LUMPUR – Petronas in the spirit of Ramadan feted some 1,000 underprivileged members of the community to a ‘breaking of fast’, in conjunction with its annual ‘Sentuhan Kasih programme’, Saturday night.
Its Corporate Strategy and Risk senior vice president, Adif Zulkifli said the event was part of the national oil and gas company’s corporate social responsibility.
“Sentuhan Kasih Petronas is held annually as our way of spreading cheer to the less fortunate in the spirit of togetherness in the holy month of Ramadan,” he said in a statement.
He attended ‘breaking of fast’ at Masjid Salahuddin Al-Ayubi in Taman Melati, Gombak here, which was one of four selected venues where the Petronas programme was held.
The other venues were Masjid Al Muhtadin in Damansara Dama; Masjid Kampung Sungai Merab in Bangi; and Masjid Al-l’tisam in TTDI Jaya.
According to Adif, Petronas also presented financial aid totaling RM120,000 during the programme. – BERNAMA
