KUALA LUMPUR – Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Kedua Sdn Bhd (Perodua) will continue to supply parts for its previous Myvi model via the opening of a new parts production line in Tanjung Malim, Perak.
In a statement today, the company said, the production line, to be operated by Perodua vendor, IQM Sdn Bhd at its Proton City, would produce body components – hoods, doors, fenders, quarter panels and roofs.
“For our customers’ safety, convenience and peace-of-mind, we are giving our commitment to them that we will continue to produce high-quality and affordable parts for their Perodua vehicles,” it said.
Besides the second-generation Myvi and the Viva, original parts for the first generation Myvi, the Kelisa and even the Kancil would continue to be produced by vendors in Malaysia to this day, it said.
“Over the years, Perodua and IQM have built a strong relationship based on trust, quality and absolute neverending loyalty to our customers,” it said. – BERNAMA
