SEREMBAN – An officer with Paya Indah Wetlands Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) in Dengkil, Selangor claimed trial in the Sessions court here today to six bribery charges.
A’zman Othman, 46, allegedly received RM10,000 from Omri Omar to approve SSMY Sutera Enterprise’s contract in monthly cleaning services involving the department’s premises in the area.
He is accused of committing the offences at Maybank, Rahang branch here through six transactions between April 15, 2015 and Oct 19, 2015.
Judge Fathiyah Idris set RM20,000 as bail with one surety and ordered the accused’s passport to be impounded pending disposal of the case.
The court also fixed May 5 for remention.
Counsel Mohd Baharuddin Ahmad Kassim represented A’zman while deputy public prosecutor Nurdiyanah Mohd Nawawi appeared for the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission. – BERNAMA
