KUALA KANGSAR – The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah today conferred awards and medals on 342 recipients in conjunction with his 59th birthday celebration on Nov 27.
They were among 702 individuals awarded by the Sultan for first time after his enthronement as the Sultan of Perak XXXV.
The Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim was present at the investiture ceremony at Balairung Seri, Istana Iskandariah, Bukit Chandan, here.
Leading the list of recipients at the third series award ceremony was Kuala Kangsar police chief ACP Ahmad Termizi Abd Haq who was bestowed the Darjah Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (PCM).
There were six other PCM recipients including Manjung police chief ACP Tengku Mohd Zailan Tengku Ahmad Shah.
Sultan Nazrin also conferred the Darjah Paduka Mahkota Perak (PMP) to 26 recipients who included Perak state Information Department director Muhamad Aszahari Abd Rahman.
The ruler also awarded the Darjah Ahli Cura Si Manja Kini (ACM) to seven people including the state Disaster Management Committee secretary, Colonel (PA) Mohd Noor Hassan Ashari and Kerian police chief Supt Omar Bakhtiar Yaacob.
Sultan Nazrin Shah also bestowed the Darjah Ahli Mahkota Perak (AMP) to former national badminton men’s doubles player Lee Wan Wah, Assistant State Secretary Management Services Division Maizatul Fadzlin Zulkepli and Bernama Media, Portal and Photo Marketing senior manager Maznah Khalil and 83 other recipients.
Meanwhile, 116 individuals were awarded the Pingat Pekerti Terpilih (PPT) who included Perak Fire and Rescue Department public relations officer Mohd Fadli Nik Abu while 100 were bestowed the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK). – BERNAMA
