IPOH – The Perak government has donated RM50,000 to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB)’s Sports and Welfare Club to assist with its operations and activities.
In announcing the donation, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir said based on the state government’s generous policy, the contribution was made to enhance the operations of the club whose members comprised the hospital’s staff.
“This contribution is a token of appreciation to the staff of HRPB who play an important role in providing the best care to patients,” he said at the breaking-of-fast with HRPB staff, here, today.
Meanwhile, the hospital’s director, B. Premavathy thanked Zambry for the contribution to the club, which consists of 1,800 members.
“This is the biggest contribution ever received by the club and we will use this money for our sports activities and to award cash prizes to motivate children of members who have excelled in their studies, apart from conducting our corporate social responsibility activities,” she said. – BERNAMA
