IPOH: In-form Perak came from behind to pull off another memorable victory by beating star-studded defending champion Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) 2-1 in the only Super League action last night at the Perak Stadium, here.
The win saw coach Datuk M. Karathu’s boys move up a step to take up fifth spot with 14 points, pipping Terengganu on goal difference.
Their standing on the Super League table may change tomorrow when Terengganu take on Police at the Shah Alam Stadium.
JDT took the early initiative and scored in the 24th minute through Junior Eldstal but Muhd Nurridzuan Abu Hassan Saari made it 1-1 in the 48th minute before Brazilian import Charles Chad Souza scored the winner two minutes later.
The defeat saw JDT remain in fourth place with 15 points but the Johor side has played one game more than all the other teams in the Super League competition.
