The Japanese are well-known for their penchant of all things weird and obscure. And that includes some strange flavour concoctions.
How crazy, you say?
They have wasabi KitKats, vanilla ice-cream with horsemeat chunks, Mountain Dew-flavoured Cheetos, and now, they hit their innovation game out of the ballpark by introducing a pink Pepsi cola.
According to Pepsi Japan: ‘Pepsi Pink is a glamorous pink cola drink perfect for the winter party season. Pepsi Pink is defined by a rich strawberry milk aroma and refreshing taste.’
The pretty pastel thirst quencher is set for the upcoming Christmas market, though it first made its way on shelves in 2011.
Pepsi releases a limited edition flavour of the cola drink onto the Japanese market at least once a year, wrote RocketNews24.
Back in 2007, they had Ice Cucumber Pepsi, a refreshing drink that looked sort of like battery acid. And, in 2012, there was the delightful sounding Salty Watermelon Pepsi. Not a flavour that had ever crossed our minds either but how much do you want to try it right now?MYNEWSHUB
