GEORGE TOWN – The Penang Barisan Nasional (BN) has claimed the DAP-ruled state government was not telling the truth in matters pertaining to payment involving the proposed undersea tunnel project.

State BN chairman Teng Chang Yeow said despite claims that it had not paid a single sen for the undersea tunnel project, yet during the State Legislative Assembly sitting on Nov 2, the state government disclosed that RM11.2 million was paid to a technical consultant company.

He claimed the technical consultant company was appointed by the state government to review and certify claims made by contractors involved in the proposed undersea tunnel project. – BERNAMA
