GEORGETOWN – DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng feels that PAS will lose in the next general election for supporting the government of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
Lim, who is also Penang Chief Minister, said the support of the former DAP ally in Pakatan Rakyat for Najib over the 1MDB issue signified that PAS would lose in the 14th General Election (GE14).
“I think not only BN (Barisan Nasional) will lose, but political parties like PAS that support 1MDB will also lose (in the next general election).
“PAS stands with (Datuk Seri) Najib (Tun Razak) and 1MDB. But this is a telling sign for PAS,” Lim said at a news conference, here, today.
Yesterday, when closing the Cheras Umno delegates’ meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin reportedly said that BN would lose in the next general election if the 1MDB scandal was not resolved quickly. – BERNAMA
