KUALA SELANGOR – The motion by the PAS Ulama Council which wants to sever ties with the DAP will be studied at the level of the Syura Council and PAS Central Working Committee.
Newly-elected PAS deputy president Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man however said that the motion would not be debated at the ongoing 61st PAS Annual Assembly at the Kuala Selangor Indoor Stadium, here.
“Yes, the motion had been accepted unanimously by the Ulama Council but the motion had also been presented to the PAS Central Committee and Syura Council for consideration and action.
“So, we accept the motion without debate and the PAS Central Committee will scrutinise the basis for the motion,” he told Bernama yesterday.
On Wednesday, the Ulama Council unanimously passed the emergency motion to sever ties with the DAP, but would continue the political cooperation with the Opposition Pact (Pakatan Rakyat). – BERNAMA
