Pakistani Man Slashed In Botched Robbery

SUNGAI PETANI – A Pakistani man got injured after being slashed in a robbery at a grocery store in Teluk Wang Besar, near here, yesterday.

Kuala Muda police chief ACP Md Zukir Md Isa said in the incident which occurred at 7.20pm, the victim, in his 30s, was taking care of his wife’s grocery store when he was approached by two men wearing helmets.

“One of the suspects hit the table with a machete, while another was carrying a bag.

“The suspects took some cash and a mobile phone from the suspect, however, disappointed with the loot gathered, the suspect slashed the victim on his left hand and back,” he said in a statement here, today.

The suspects then turned to flee, however, a mishap saw one of them falling down, with the loot left strewn on the floor, and the two left empty handed on a motorcycle. – BERNAMA
