GEORGE TOWN: Pakatan Harapan leaders were seen entering the elevators leading to the 28th floor of Komtar, where the office of Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng is located.
PKR elections director Datuk Saifuddin Nasution Ismail and Permatang Pauh PKR division chief Amir Ghazali hurriedly walked past journalists on the third floor of the building at 1.35pm, Wednesday without taking questions as they headed towards Chief Minister’s office.
Pakatan Harapan assemblymen and MPs are believed to be holding a meeting to discuss the possible dissolution of the state assembly for snap state elections.
The media was confined to the third floor and barred from entering the elevators leading to Lim’s office.
A security guard said that they would only be allowed in at 2.30pm.
It is learnt that PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali will be meeting Lim in Penang later Wednesday.
The Chief Minister is also expected to meet with Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas at his residence in Sri Mutiara in Jalan Utama at 3pm to push for snap state polls.
