KUANTAN – Pahang have finalised their squad by retaining the line-up to take on the challenge for the next season in the Malaysia League.
Pahang Football Association (PBNP) secretary Fuzzeimi Ibrahim (pic) made the announcement at a special media conference here, Friday.
Apart from maintain the existing players, PBNP have also boosted the existing strength with four new players comprising two Harimau Malaya A players namely R. Gary Steven and D. Saavindran as well as former Kelantan defender Mohammad Ab Aziz Ismail and Kuantan FA midfielder Mohd Rizua Shafiqi Kamaruzaman.
“At the same time, Pahang midfield player Abdul Malik Mat Arif will be loaned to Kuantan FA for the next Premier League season,” he said.
He said the state’s four import players, Damion Delano Stewart, Matias Ruben Conti, Dickson Nwakaeme and Zeshan Rehman have confirmed staying with the squad for the next season.
Pahang successfully retained their Malaysia Cup championship for the second consecutive time after defeating Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) 5-3 through penalty kicks when both teams were tied 2-2 after extra time. – Bernama
