PETALING JAYA: Bersih is to blame for the Red Shirts, says the “orange” Malaysia Makkal Sakti Party (MMSP).
MMSP president Datuk R.S. Thanenthiran said the Red Shirts were only created in response to the yellow shirts, who had strayed from their original purpose.
“They are now puppets and have been hijacked by the Opposition.
“Bersih 5.0 is not like how Bersih 1, 2 and 3 were. They are being used,” he said at a press conference yesterday.
Thanenthiran added that while MMSP did not support the Red Shirts, the blame for the group lay on Bersih.
He was speaking to the press after leading a group of supporters in orange T-shirts to the Dang Wangi police headquarters to lodge a report against Bersih for allegedly planning to hold an illegal rally to overthrow the Government on Saturday.
The group had also marched to several parts of Kuala Lumpur before lodging the report.
“We hope the police will investigate and take severe action against them,” said Thanenthiran.
