JOHOR BAHARU – The Tunku Mahkota of Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim says that the opinions he voiced out on the country leaders of late are part of his social responsibility to the people of Johor and Malaysia as a whole.
Tunku Ismail, who is also Johor Football Association president, said he was merely reminding the leaders of their responsibilities to serve the people.
“I’m not a politician, I’m only answerable to Allah, my Sultan and to the people of Johor,” he said in his latest post on Johor Southern Tigers’ Facebook page Monday.
Tunku Ismail also stressed that he had never told anybody to step down or resign, but had only reminded the politicians of their roles and responsibilities.
Being a prince and blessed with a comfortable life, he said he could just live his own life and be oblivious to the worries of the people, but he chose to stand for his people.
