They are arguably one of the largest-selling boy bands ever existed but still, it does not mean they don’t have to promote their own gigs.
To try and sell more concert tickets in Bangkok, One Direction decided to endear themselves to Thais by putting on our national football team’s shirt and post a photo on their Facebook page Monday.
Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Harry Styles failed to look as good as Chappuis or Mika Chunuonsee in the blue jersey as they continue their publicity push ahead of their Bangkok concert in front of thousands of tweens on Mar 14.
The concert will be held at Rajamangala National Stadium, so it has the potential to be as big as Lady Gaga’s in 2012.
And ticket prices are pretty steep, starting at TBH 1,800 (RM200.14) up to TBH10,000 (RM1111.89) for the ‘hot seat’ which is advertised as ‘best seat’ ticket in a block with great views of both the main stage and B stage. The package includes your ticket, an exclusive 1D wristwatch with pouch, a laminated card and lanyard. Not bad, if your 12-year-old needs it that bad.
Last year One Direction released their record-breaking third album ‘Midnight Memories’, which saw them named as the IFPI’s Global Artist of 2013 for becoming the biggest selling act in the world.
They also became the first ever band to have their first three albums debut at No.1 in the US Billboard Chart, hitting the top spot in a further 30 countries worldwide.-MYNEWSHUB.CC
