IPOH – Bukit Aman Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department deputy director (Strategic Planning) Datuk Omar Mammah takes over as Perak Deputy Chief Police effective today, replacing Datuk Zainuddin Yaacob.
The handing over ceremony was witnessed by Perak police chief Datuk Hasnan Hassan at the state police contingent headquarters here today.
Zainuddin, who was appointed Perak deputy police chief in May this year, has been transferred to the Kuala Lumpur police contingent.
Omar, 58 and fromSemporna, Sabah, has been with the police force for 28 years and has held several posts, including Sabah Criminal Investigation Department (CID) head and Selangor deputy CID chief. – BERNAMA
