KUALA LUMPUR – Athletes for Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games and Paralympic Games will be honoured at Formula One (F1) Malaysian Grand Prix on Oct 2.
Sepang International Circuit (SIC) will host the race from Sept 30 to Oct 2.
“This is how SIC will honour the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games athletes,” its chief operating officer, Datuk Razlan Razali told a press conference, here today.
They will be joined by GP2 racer, Nabil Jeffri and GP3 racer, Akash Nandy.
Razlan said only several Olympic athletes have agreed to attend while the decision of paralympic athletes will be known after their arrival tomorrow.
The Olympic and Paralympic athletes are scheduled to be presented during the autograph session with F1 racing fans at Welcome Centre, SIC on race day. – BERNAMA
