PUTRAJAYA: Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) secretary-general Tan Sri Iyad Ameen Madani will be in Malaysia for a three-day working visit starting Friday, Wisma Putra said on Thursday.
Iyad Ameen is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, it said in a statement.
“They are expected to discuss the current challenges facing the Muslim Ummah and the recent developments in the region,” it said.
This is Iyad Ameen’s second visit to Malaysia after the first one from April 14 to 16 last year.
Wisma Putra said Malaysia, as one of the founding members of the OIC, has continued to play an active role in the organisation in safeguarding the interests and well-being of Muslims worldwide.
