Nurul Wahab Depp defended the choice of her second babyâ€™s name amid criticism that it was not Malay.
The Malaysian songbird, who gave birth to Raphael Depp on Jan 16, said the Hebrew name was an archangel, which was also known in Islam as Israfil, the angel of the trumpet.
â€œWe have plans to migrate in the future, and I do not want any trouble arranging for their visa when the time comes as I myself have encountered difficulty obtaining a visa when going overseas,â€ she explained.
Asked if she was concerned over peopleâ€™s perception of her, Nurul said what mattered was that she knew the religion her children should follow.
