Number Of Flood Victims Declined To 4,267

KUCHING – The number of residents affected by floods in Sarawak has declined to 4,267 from 1,269 families as of 8 pm from 4,686 people recorded this afternoon.

A Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat spokesman said a relief centre in Sekolah Kebangsaan Menuang Baru in Limbang was also closed this afternoon.

“The evacuees are housed at 23 relief centres, namely in Samarahan with 106 people, Serian (1,201 people), Sarikei (eight people), Sibu (1,028 people), Mukah (89 people), Bintulu (1,513 people) and Limbang (322 people),” he said. – BERNAMA
