SEREMBAN – Negeri Sembilan police are tracking down a man identified as Man Botak to assist in investigations on several cases of stolen vehicles in the state, Melaka and Selangor.
State police chief Datuk Jaafar Mohd Yusof said the suspect, 23, of Bukit Beruntung, Selangor is believed to be the mastermind of a syndicate specialising in lower-end cars.
“The suspect, Muhammad Shahril Izuwan Norzlan has also been found to be involved in drugs,” he told a media conference here today.
Jaafar said police are tracking down Man Botak following police’s success in nabbing eight men, aged between 28 and 55, in Ops Lejang from April 15 to 21 in the state as well as in Melaka and Selangor.
In the operation police seized eight cars of various makes including Proton Wira, Perodua Kancil, Proton Satria, Naza Citra and Honda Civic. – BERNAMA
