Talent. Ability. Smarts. Many of the same traits that define Malaysia’s hottest stars also define their mark in the entrepreneurial world. So it makes perfect sense when the two ambitions collide.
So for established actors like Nora Danish, opening up a business is just a natural progression.
The 33-year-old have been involved in show business for quite some time, so it’s only fitting that she capitalize her fame by setting up Kopi XOXO, a cafe she runs with her sister and best friend Betty Rahmad.
“Acting isn’t a lifetime goal for me. Rather, I use it as a platform to accomplish my dream of becoming an entrepreneur. That is my ultimate ambition, actually,” she said, as quoted in RotiKaya.
“With business, the objectives are measurable and I can ensure the financial security for my family’s future.”
Nora has a son, Putra Rayqal Ramli Rizal Ashram, 6, from her previous marriage.
The Puteri actress also revealed that she felt this year is the perfect time to dabble in the fashion industry.
“I love clothes and beautiful garments, so my aim is to venture into fashion next. But to achieve that, acting has got to take the back seat as I will put my focus solely on the clothing business.”
“After all, it is never my goal to be an actress forever,” she added.
Now that she’s free from being contractually bound by MIG Productions, she is now in charge and in control of her own career.
“My contract with MIG is not extended, so now I can be selective of films that I really want to,”she said to Tonton Extra.
