KUALA LUMPUR – Nora Danish’s long-awaited moment has finally arrived. The actress tied the knot with her entrepreneur boyfriend Nedim Nazri yesterday at Glasshouse at Seputeh here in a private ceremony attended by close friends and family at around 8.37pm.
“This union is like a dream come true. The moment that I’ve been waiting for is finally here,” she gushed.
“I hope our love goes strong till jannah. Please wish the best for me and my husband.”
Nedim, 34, recited the marriage pledge twice, and it was solemnised by Federal Territory marriage registrar Khairul Asyraf Ahmad.
Nedim, who’s the son of Tourism and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz, looked smart in a silky white baju melayu and a matching cream-coloured sampin.
Nora, 35, looked positively glowing in a long off- shoulder beaded lace dress designed by her own brand The Owl by ND, complete with a traditional veil.
This is the second marriage for both Nora and Nedim. She was previously married to Rizal Ashram Ramli, son of former Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Ramli Ngah Talib, while Nedim was married to Nabilah Khan.
“We’ve both experienced a grand marriage ceremony so for our second time, we thought of holding a simple one.
“It doesn’t mean that it’s not festive. It’s just more private and intimate,” says Nora.
The couple also have a son each from their previous marriage, namely Putera Rayqal, 8, and Mohamed Nedrin, 6, respectively.
On having their own children, the newlyweds said they won’t say no to rezeki.
The bride and groom, who began dating in 2013, had requested to keep certain details of their wedding, including their dowry and wedding gifts, private.
Nora, who now runs her own cafe and boutique, previously starred in films including Polis Evo, Gila-Gila Pengantin Popular and 2 Kalimah. – NST
