KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has confirmed that there were no elements of corruption found in the pen drive submitted by Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.
MACC director of investigations Datuk Azam Baki in a statement said the commission had studied the 279-page document in the pen drive before coming to the conclusion.
“Accordingly, the MACC will send a report on the investigations to the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) in the near future for them to improve and take follow-up action, especially on the technical issues raised,” he said here, today.
MACC, he said, was also ready to cooperate with the FAM and any related parties should there be issues pertaining to corruption.
The Tengku Mahkota Johor (TMJ) Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim had given the pen drive to Khairy on Aug 26, which was in turn handed over to the MACC by the Youth and Sports Minister last Friday. – BERNAMA
