KUCHING: The two Australians who allegedly breached the security line during Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s visit to a mosque in Sarawak will not be prosecuted.

Eroglu Levent and Linton Joshua Besser were arrested at Kota Sentosa, near here on Saturday.

State CID chief SAC Dev Kumar said police submitted the investigation papers to the deputy public prosecutor yesterday (March 14).

“Today police received instructions from the DPP that no charges will be filed against the two.

“Instead, they will be deported in pursuant with Section 18(3)(h) of the Immigration Act 1959/63,” he said in a statement here.

The duo were earlier released on police bail after having their statements recorded. They were investigated for obstructing a public servant in the discharge of his public functions, under Section 186 of the Penal Code.
