KUALA LUMPUR – National squash queen Datuk Nicol David continues her winning streak after making it to the quarter finals of the 2018 Saudi Women’s Masters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Nicol, who is seeded fifth, defeated Joshna Chinappan of India 6-11, 11-5, 11-7, 11-7 in the second round act which lasted 38 minutes, according to the championship official website, https://squashinsaudi.com/.
The former world number number will face 11th seeded Egypt’s Nour El Tayeb, who defeated second seeded Camille Serme of France.
If Nicol wins, awaiting her in the final round is either third seeded Raneem El Welily, of Egypt, and Sarah-Jane Perry, from England, who will meet at for the quarter final round.
Meanwhile, world number one and first seeded Nour El Sherbini, from Egypt, who defeated country mate Hania El Hammamy in the second round, will face Dipika Pallikal Karthik, of India, in the quarter final.
