KUALA LUMPUR – More than 5,000 people have visited the DirectD Digital Mall in Kajang, near here, since it opened last Saturday.
On Friday alone, over 1,000 people thronged the mall from around 10 pm to obtain the 50 per cent discount coupons given out by DirectD on items on sale in conjunction with the mall’s opening.
DirectD digital design and marketing head, Khairul Ezwan Rais said 1,382 coupons were given out to the early birds, while a 50 per cent discount was offered on 28 types of products including Honor 8, Asus Zenfone 3, and Vivo Y25 smartphones.
Ezwan said the company was optimistic of good response from consumers in its new market area in the southern part of Selangor including Kajang, hence was confident of achieving the target of over 100,000 visitors to the mall, its fourth branch, throughout 2018.
“With the technological advancement taking place, the smartphone not only attracts mainly the corporate and career people, but also the young including teenagers who are willing to save up in order to get themselves a smartphone.
“We believe the setting up of our digital mall here will facilitate more consumers getting various kinds of gadgets,” he added.
The DirectD Digital Mall in Kajang has 20 kiosks selling the products of various international brands. – BERNAMA
