After more than a decade in Jalan Ampang, popular nightclub Zouk will pack its bag and shift to a new location at Jalan Tun Razak as its lease expires.
The club will be located at a new entertainment hub called TREC, which stands for ‘Taste,Relish,Experience,Celebrate’ and is expected to be up and running by January next year.
Details for the opening of the new Zouk KL should be out in April, TREC says, but at RM38 million (60,000 sq ft) the club is said to be the most expensive ever built in Malaysia.
Expect to see several clubs, a member’s lounge, a cafe and an outdoor garden. It’s also the only nightspot to be allowed to operate until 5am.
The first phase of TREC — dubbed Malaysia’s first purpose-built and largest lifestyle, F&B and entertainment hub — is set to open in July; the Electric Boulevard, to be precise, where you can find Artebar, The Scene by Pisco, Live House, Japanese Gastrobar by Bryan Loo of Chatime and others.
TREC is reported to have made 3,000 parking spots available in the location.-MYNEWSHUB.CC
