KUALA LUMPUR – Negeri Sembilan surged to the top of the Premier League after beating UiTM FC 4-2 in a match at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium, Paroi, Seremban Friday night.
The Deers seventh win from 12 matches saw them collecting 25 points together with JDT II and Melaka United but are top based on more goals scored.
Negeri’s four goals were scored by Andrew Nabbout (15,25), Muhammad Afiq Azmi (40, 43).
Wan Khairil Azwa scored UiTM’s two goals in the 6th minute and 35th minute.
JDT II climbed two rungs to second in the table after a 4-1 win over Kuantan FA in a match at Pasir Gudang Municipal Council Stadium, Johor Baharu.
Paulo Rangel opened the scoring for JDT II in the 47th minute before Mohd Zaquan Adha Abdul Radzak scored hattrick (55,64,92).
Kuantan FA grabbed a consolation goal via Norfahmie Hadzrin Nordinin (58).
Kuala Lumpur dropped one spot to third after drawing 1-1 against Sime Darby FC in a match at Selayang Stadium.
Sime Darby FC took the lead via Mateo Roskam (66) before A. Thamil Arasu got the equaliser in the 90th minute.
PKNS FC team continued their winning ways after trouncing DRB-Hicom 5-0 in a match at Hang Jebat Stadium, Melaka.
The PKNS goals were scored by Gabriel Miguel Guerra (3,91), Juan Manuel Cobelli (22,52) and Nicolas Hadwa (40).
Perlis beat Sabah 2-0 in a match at at Tuanku Syed Putra Stadium, Kangar with goals from Edward Junior (4) and Fandi Ahmad (89).
