KUALA NERANG – The people must continue giving their mandate to Barisan Nasional (BN) government to ensure that the education transformation agenda and the national agenda can be implemented for future generations.
Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid said education should not be gambled with as it was closely connected to a nation’s progress, and what the government was doing now was apt and on the right track.
“Since Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak took over the government, various changes and transformations have been made including in education through the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013 -2025 so that it was in line with National Transformation 2050 (TN50).
“So it is very important that the people retain the current government for the sake of the continuity of the plan by the Prime Minister which has been proven to benefit the education system in the country,” he told reporters at a meet-the-people session held at the Mahawangsa Voting District Centre in Felda Lubuk Merbau, here today.
Mahdzir who is also UMNO Supreme Council was commenting on the call by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak who wanted the people to continue giving the mandate to the BN government in coming GE14 to ensure its agenda is continued.
He said it was not easy planning and implementing the national education transformation but the efforts would bring about positive results in the long run. – BERNAMA
