PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is set to answer questions at an open townhall dialogue from 9am to noon on Friday at the Putra World Trade Centre.

The Nothing2Hide question-and-answer session at Dewan Tun Hussein Onn is organised and moderated by the Malaysian Volunteer Lawyers Association (SukaGuam).

It is set to give participants from non-governmental organisations, bloggers and the media a chance to ask Najib questions – including questions about the controversial government investment arm 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

Najib would also be answering questions regarding the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax during.

“This townhall dialogue session has never been done before by any previous Prime Ministers.

“You will hear the Prime Minister himself explain current issues and the invitation is open to ask him any question based on current events,” said SukaGuam on its Facebook page, SukaGuam Sukarelawan Peguam.

It was reported that SukaGuam chairman Datuk Khairul Anwar Rahmat had gone on record to say that former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad would be personally invited to participate in the dialogue.

He said he had no issues if Dr Mahathir were to come, as the forum was open to all, even though no political parties were invited.

“The media agencies – print, online and even bloggers – are invited as we all share the common mission of bringing truth to the people,” he said.-The Star
