KUALA LUMPUR – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today shared his sadness for and extended his deepest condolences to flood victims in Sarawak who had lost a family member or properties due to the disaster.
He said the government would continue providing all the necessary aid and assistance to the victims, especially in terms of daily necessities and food.
“I share the sadness for those who lost a family member and properties due to floods in Sarawak. Please accept the condolences of me and my family,” he wrote on his Facebook page today.
The prime minister said the government would try to ascertain the impact of the disaster to the locals and would help the victims to return to their normal daily lives after the floods subsided.
As at noon today, 6,203 flood victims in Kuching, Serian and Samarahan have been evacuated to 36 relief centres. – BERNAMA
