The meeting was held in conjunction with Gatot’s official visit to Malaysia to attend the ongoing 13th Malaysia-Indonesia High Level Committee (Malindo HLC) meeting from July 17 to 25.

The Malindo HLC conference will commence tomorrow at a leading hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

Armed Forces chief General Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor was also present during the 20-minute meeting.

After the courtesy visit, Najib also conferred the Darjah Kepahlawanan Angkatan Tentera (DKAT) Panglima Gagah Angkatan Tentera (PGAT) Kehormat to Gatot in a special ceremony.

The bravery award was to appreciate Gatot’s services and contribution towards enhancing understanding and cooperation between Malaysia and Indonesia and the armed forces.

Gatot played a major role in joint operation tasks in the border areas, trainings and patrols on land, sea and air besides information sharing and recreational activities between TNI and the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM).
