KUALA LUMPUR – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on Wednesday thanked a family member of the MH17 crash victim for the kind words he had received.
The message was from Harbinder Kaur, the wife of the late Karamjit Singh Karnail Singh, 54, one of the MH17 crash victims.
“Received this lovely card from Mdm Harbinder. Thank u for your kind words. It’s little things like this that motivates me,” he said in his Facebook and Twitter account posting Wednesday night.
In the card, Harbinder thanked Najib for his profound contribution to provide financial assistance for her son, Annarpal Singh’s education.
“Your kindness will be remembered and treasured in our hearts. May you be blessed with all the graces you so deserve. Sincere thanks,” said Harbinder in her message.
The late Karamjit, a safety adviser with ExxonMobil, was on his way back to Kuala Lumpur after working at an oil rig platform in Usan, Nigeria when the tragedy struck on July 17.
The Malaysia Airlines plane was believed to have been shot down by a missile in eastern Ukraine, near the Russian border, while on its way from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.
It was carrying 283 passengers and 15 crew members.
