Najib On 2 Day Visit To Indonesia, Environment Cooperation To Be Discussed

PUTRAJAYA – The Honourable Dato’ Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia will be undertaking a Working Visit to the Republic of Indonesia from 11 to 12 October 2015.

The Honourable Prime Minister will be accompanied by YABhg. Datin Sri Rosmah Mansor, YB Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities, YB Dato’ Sri Dr.

Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, YB Dato’ Razali Ibrahim, Deputy Minister of the Prime Minister’s Department and government officials.

YAB Prime Minister will hold bilateral consultation with President Joko Widodo to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the palm oil industry.

The meeting is also a follow-up to the previous two Ministerial meetings between Malaysia and Indonesia held on 27 August 2015 in Kuala Lumpur and 3 October 2015 in Jakarta.

This visit will provide the opportunity for both countries to explore and further enhance the cooperation toward sustainable palm oil industry. Both leaders will also discuss issues on environment cooperation.
