KOTA BHARU – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today held a meeting with Kelantan Barisan Nasional (BN) and UMNO leaders.
Also present at the meeting which began at 2.40pm and lasted more than an hour were Kelantan UMNO Liaison Committee chairman Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed and his deputy, Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub.
Najib, who is also UMNO president, ended his one-day working visit to Kelantan by attending a gathering with over 1,500 members of the Kelantan Non-governmental Organisations Coalition at a hotel here.
Commenting on the meeting, Ketereh UMNO chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa said the prime minister stressed that the people of Kelantan should be given a clear explanation on various development projects undertaken by the federal government in the state, especially the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project.
He said this was because the ECRL project, a brainchild of Najib, would be a game changer for Kelantan towards becoming a more competitive state. – BERNAMA
