KUALA LUMPUR – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak congratulated national sprinter Khairul Hafiz Jantan for winning the coveted gold medal in the 100-meter sprint event at the 2017 SEA Games here.
“It is a very proud moment for Malaysia as Khairul becomes Southeast Asia sprinting champion.

Khairul Hafiz, 19, bagged the gold medal after he crossed the finish line in 10.38s, beating defeating champion Eric Cray of the Philippines, who had to settle for silver after clocking 10.43s.
Thailand’s Kritsada Namsuwun who clocked the same 10.43s had to be satisfied with a bronze medal based on the photo-finish.
