JAKARTA – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak arrived here Sunday for a two-day working visit.
Najib, accompanied by his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, arrived at Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport here at 12.30 pm local time, and was greeted by Indonesian Minister of Industry Saleh Husin, Malaysia’s Deputy Ambassador to Indonesia Roseli Abdul and government officials.
Among members of the Malaysian delegation were Plantation Industry and Commodities Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Natural Resource and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Razali Ibrahim and senior government officials.
The Prime Minister’s entourage then left for the Presidential Palace in Bogor to meet with President Joko Widodo for a bilateral meeting to improve cooperation in developing the palm oil industry.
The two leaders would also discuss issues relating to cooperation in the environmental field.
The visit is a follow-up to the previous two ministerial meetings between Malaysia and Indonesia, held on Aug 27 in Kuala Lumpur and Oct 3 in Jakarta. – BERNAMA
