KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian artiste, Nadira Adnan, 19, who is pursuing her doctoral studies in Indonesia, is utilising the country as a platform to make an impact for her singing career.
“I spend most of my time there compared to Kuala Lumpur as besides singing I am studying medicine in a university in Jakarta.
“It’s easy for me to commute from campus to the studio, in fact I am living with my grandparents there,” she said at a press conference to launch her single and first album entitled ‘Isi Hati’, here, yesterday.
Nadira or her real name Tengku Nadira Munawarah Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan said despite her hectic schedule as a medical student, she remained optimistic in giving her best in the production of her first album.
“My dream of becoming a doctor had never stopped my interest in singing and the music industry,” said the Federal Territories Minister’s daughter.
Nadira added that she was greatly honoured to sing and record a song by famous Indonesian artiste Ahmad Dhani Prasetyo of Dewa Band for the ‘Isi Hati” album.
