NADA Staff Remanded 7 Days For Bribery

KOTA BHARU – The Magistrate’s Court here today remanded a National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA) staff for seven days to facilitate investigations into a bribery case.

The suspect who was arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) yesterday evening in Tanah Merah, arrived at the Kota Bharu Court Complex about 10 am, accompanied by Kelantan MACC officers.

Yesterday, Kelantan MACC director Datuk Moh Samsudin Yusof was quoted as saying that the suspect was arrested on suspicion of soliciting a bribe of RM500 from a complainant to settle his warrant of arrest for testing positive for drugs.

He said the case was being investigated under Section 17(a) of the MACC Act 2009. – BERNAMA
