KUALA LUMPUR – Determined to fulfill her lifelong dream of climbing a mountain, actress Nabila Huda, 32, flew to Nepal last Sunday to climb up to the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) which sits at an altitude of 4,130 meters.
Despite having no proper physical training, the ‘Munafik’ actress braved the challenge and is assumed to have arrived at her destination yesterday, based on a recent news report.
Nabila, who is the daughter of legendary rocker Amy Search, frequently shared photos and videos detailing her journey on her Instagram account for her followers to see.
She hoped that by sharing her experience, she would be able to motivate other women into being brave and try something new.
“When you hike, it distracts you from all your worries and best of all, the view makes it all worthwhile,” she said in an interview with a local daily.
“What’s important is that you don’t need a lot of money to enjoy a good life,” she added.
It is understood that the actress embarked on the hiking trip with a few friends who documented her journey for a travelogue. – NST
