SEREMBAN – The Negeri Sembilan Barisan Nasional (BN) manifesto for the 14th genera which promises to build more affordable homes will certainly brings relief to the young people and the low income earners as the move would provide more opportunities for them to have their own house.
A private sector employee, Mohd Amsyar Arfi, 20, said the affordable homes as contained in the Negeri Sembilan Housing Policy offered reasonable price, beginning from RM80,000 for a single storey terrace house.
“Negeri Sembilan now is also a focus area for the people in the Klang Valley to buy their houses, and when there is demand, the price will increase,” he told Bernama.
He said those keen on buying the houses would have to register their names with the Negeri Sembilan Housing Portal and their applications would be processed by the Negeri Sembilan Housing unit.
Meanwhile, a project engineer at a private company in Kuala Lumpur, Megat Ariff Othman Razali, 25, said he fully supported the BN manifesto on providing more affordable homes , as it would benefit the B40 group.
Although working in the federal capital, Megat Ariff Othman said he planned to buy his first home in Negeri Sembilan as the price was reasonable and near to his family home.
The Negeri Sembilan BN manifesto on housing also includes its promise to complete the construction of the Chembong People’s Housing programme, involving 452 units of single-storey terrace houses for those with income of less than RM1,500.
It also promises to create a new settlement, Desa Sutra, through the Village Expansion Programme and address the issuing of titles for 300 occupants of the public low cost houses in the state. – BERNAMA
