TAPAH – The Malaysian People’s Progressive Party (myPPP) is confident of implementing its 365-day challenge, with one programme a day to bring the party closer to the local community, especially youths.
myPPP President Tan Sri M. Kayveas said it was not a problem for the party to organise community programmes each day as the myPPP had 600,000 members and 150 divisions in 10 states.
“Each day the members will be involved in a community programme in each district in order to be close to the people and know their problems,” he said after attending the launch of the Perak myPPP Convention, here today.
The event, which was attended by more than 500 party members, was launched by Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir.
Kayveas said myPPP and Barisan Nasional would hopefully collaborate in organising various programmes such as ‘myInsurance’, ‘myWill’, ‘myHelpingHands’, ‘myEnglish’, ‘mySafeHome’ and ‘myEnvironment’.
Meanwhile, Zambry who is also Chairman of the Perak UMNO Liaison Body, said myPPP’s approach was in line with its rebranding as a party which stood for peace, progress and prosperity. – BERNAMA
