A Myanmar cake seller was shot at for carrying out her business close to the house of her assailant in Batu Caves.
Police have identified a suspect, also a Myanmar, for the attempted murder of the 27-year-old woman in the attack at Pusat Bandar Utara Selayang at about 6.30pm Sunday.
She was selling cakes at a pavement in front of a convenience store when a white Proton Perdana stopped near her. The suspect got down with a parang and started destroying her stall.
She ran to a nearby shop but her assailant pursued in his car and fired two shots which missed her.
“We believe the man was angry at the victim for running her business near his house as it was obstructing traffic. We are tracking him down,†Sentul OCPD Asst Comm R. Munusamy said.-MYNEWSHUB.CC
