KOTA KINABALU – Muslims must take the effort to learn and appreciate the Quran as a guide to achieve excellence in numerous fields, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman.
He said an understanding of the Quran would help in human capital development.
“This is the factor in the success and excellence of Muslims during the eras of Prophet Muhammad and Khulafa’ ar-Rasyidin (four friends who ruled after the death of Prophet Muhammad).
They built a now renowned Muslim civilisation in Makkah and Madinah,” he said.
He said this at the Bicara Ramadan programme in conjunction with Nuzul al-Qur’an here, today. His speech tax was read by Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister, Datuk Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif.
Musa also said the state government would continue to recognise and maintain the Islamic education system in the state which had a great impact on the balanced development of Muslims. – BERNAMA
