JAKARTA – Mount Sinabung volcano in North Sumatra erupted again on Monday, spewing columns of smoke and ash as high as five kilometres.
According to the Centre for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (CVGHM), the latest eruption occurred at 8.59 am local time.
Meanwhile, local authorities were reported to have issued a directive to the public against doing any activity along a four-km radius of the crater.
The last eruption of the volcano was on Jan 27. – BERNAMA
