PORT DICKSON – A Mini Cooper car worth RM200,000 as a Hole-in-One prize will be the main attraction in the 2nd Negeri Sembilan Golf Challenge 2015 organised by the Negeri Sembilan Tourism Board (LPNS) at the Port Dickson Golf & Country Club on Saturday and Sunday.
LPNS general manager Baharudin Jali said the Golf Challenge organised for the second time will see 320 amateur golfers taking part from throughout the country, including two golfers from the Philippines.
“Two sessions will be held on Saturday (morning & afternoon) while the top 100 will advance to the next round on Sunday. We will use the “System 36 Stableford’ format,” he told reporters here today.
Baharudin said the event was organised as an effort to promote golf tourism in Negeri Sembilan since golf tourism has a vast potential.
“Through golf tournaments like this, we are confident of attracting more tourists to the state,’ he said. – BERNAMA
