IPOH – Perak coach, Mehmet Durakovic was peeved but declined to put the fault on any individual as the cause of his squad’s 2-2 draw with PKNS in the 2018 FA Cup second leg quarter-finals at Perak Stadium last night.
He said his charges played well despite failing to convert several chances into goals for a win.
“We dominated the game and created many chances, and it would be different if there were better finishing,”
“It is hard for me to accept the result but the seriousness shown by the players, is a consolation to me,” he told reporters after the match at Perak Stadium here last night.
With the 2-2 draw last night, PKNS FC advanced to the semi-finals with a 4-3 aggregate score after their 2-1 win in the first leg on April 7.
Meanwhile PKNS FC coach, K. Rajagopal credited his players for keeping Perak strikers especially Gilmar Dos at bay.
“The squad did well to stay focus despite the thunderous roar from thousands of Perak fans and they played as instructed to gain the semi-final berth,” he said.
“With the two-goal advantage from the first leg, I told my players to keep calm and watch out for Perak attacks,” he said. – BERNAMA
