KUALA LUMPUR: The three UMNO wings – Wanita, Youth and Puteri – hold their general assemblies Wednesday in conjunction with the UMNO General Assembly 2015 at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), here.
In a break from tradition, this year’s assemblies will be opened by their respective chiefs and not by the UMNO deputy president.
Wanita chief Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil will open the wing’s assembly at the Merdeka Hall; Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin (Tun Dr Ismail Hall) and Puteri chief Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin (Tun Hussein Onn Hall).
The three assemblies will be opened simultaneously at 8am before the chosen representatives would debate motions among others on education, cost of living, economic and housing.
A total of 993 delegates are attending the Wanita assembly, Youth (992) and Puteri (991).
